Abstract:

The development of a nation is usually professionally considered from multidimensional perspectives. In Nigeria, even though there is an abundance of her mineral resources, most citizens are living in poverty while most of the mineral resources are still untapped.  It is, therefore, something to worry about that Nigeria is well-endowed with both natural and human resources, yet, the nation remains underdeveloped. Therefore, with enormous resources at the disposal of Nigeria state, it's with a clear absence of visionary and selfless leadership. This paper holds that Nigeria is yet to be ranked among the developed countries of the world is its poor leadership orientation. This paper, therefore, seeks to revitalize the missing link between adequate material resources and the problem of poor political leadership in Nigeria.
