Abstract:

The inability of polytechnic education to meet employment requirement of its clienteles as evidenced by the alarming rate of graduate unemployment gave birth to the introduction of entrepreneurship education in the curriculum of Nigerian polytechnics. It is expected that the effective implementation of entrepreneurship education 'will equip the undergraduates both males and females with the required knowledge and skill to establish their own business after graduation. Based on this premise, the researcher explored the possible links between entrepreneurship education and gender equity. The study adopted the descriptive and inferential survey design. 280 undergraduates made up of 140 male and 140 females respectively made up the sample size. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to elicit information from the students. Recommendations were made based on the findings of the study.
