Abstract:

Retirement is viewed in many quarters in Nigeria as a period of unproductivity. Retirees have often been derided as "deadwoods". But contrary to this opinion retiree could still engage in creative arts and some vocations which can provide them with financial gains and satisfaction. The study investigates aspects of creative arts which the retirees could engage in. The paper engages a philosophical method of enquiry in the course of research. The paper observes that a blissful retirement could be achieved by careful preparation and undergoing creative or entrepreneurial training before retirement.
